Guillermo del Toro, nominado a 7 Globos de Oro

La Asociación de la Prensa Extranjera de Hollywood (HFPA) develó este lunes las nominaciones para la 75 edición de los Globos de Oro, una cita que anualmente premia lo mejor del año en cine y televisión.

“La forma del agua”, del mexicano Guillermo del Toro, logró este lunes el mayor número de nominaciones a los Globos de Oro, que mostró tolerancia cero al escándalo sexual que sacude a Hollywood.

Los Globos, que se entregarán el 7 de enero, son vistos como una oportunidad para que la industria del cine y la televisión demuestre su condena total a los abusos sexuales que comenzaron a emerger después de las escalofriantes denuncias contra el poderoso productor Harvey Weinstein, que ahora es considerado el mayor depredador de la industria del cine.

La cinta fantástica de Del Toro, que cuenta una historia de amor entre una limpiadora y una criatura anfibia guardada en un tanque de agua en una instalación del gobierno de Estados Unidos, entró en siete categorías: mejor película dramática, guión y director, así como mejor música original, actriz (Sally Hawkins), actor y actriz de reparto (Richard Jenkins y Octavia Spencer).

Por el premio a la mejor película de drama "The Shape of Water" (“La forma del agua”) se medirá con "Call Me By Your Name", ''Dunkirk", ''The Post" y "Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri".

Las candidatas a mejor película de comedia o musical son "The Disaster Artist", ''Get Out", ''Lady Bird", ''The Greatest Showman" y "I, Tonya".

La cinta chilena “Una mujer fantástica” se medirá por el premio a la mejor película en lengua extranjera con el filme de Angelina Jolie "First They Killed My Father" (Camboya), "In the Fade" (Alemania/Francia), "Loveless" (Rusia) y "The Square" (Suecia/Alemania/Francia).

“Coco”, el éxito de Disney Pixar sobre el Día de los Muertos mexicano, fue postulado a mejor cinta animada junto con ''Ferdinand", sobre un joven toro que escapa de un campo de entrenamiento de toreo en España; "The Boss Baby", ''The Breadwinner" y "Loving Vincent".
